What types of questions may I ask?
The same types of questions you would ask at the Reference Department. For example:
Ask a Librarian

  • Help using the SCC Library Web Page, Databases, LINCCWeb, etc.
  • Brief questions requiring short, factual answers, such as verification of bibliographic information, verifying the publisher of a book, etc.
  • Suggestions for research strategies, appropriate LINCCWeb subject headings, relevant indexes, and reference tools to use to locate information for assignments.
  • Sorry - we can't perform research for you ... we just try to lead you to the most helpful resources!

Does e-Mail reference include document delivery? (copying and delivering articles)
No it doesn't. Please check our page on Interlibrary Loan or services to Distance Learners.

How soon may I expect a response?

We try to respond to all questions within 24 hours on working days M-F excluding holidays.
