Leadership Academy

SCC's leadership development program, SCC Leadership Academy is open to all full-time SCC faculty and staff members interested in applying. If you have ever been interested in improving your leadership skills, consider taking advantage of this free opportunity.

How will I benefit from the program?

You will have opportunities to:

• Foster personal and professional growth; 
• Enhance your leadership skills; and
• Make a difference in our institution, in our community and in your personal life.

Who is eligible to participate in the program?

The Leadership Academy is open to every full-time SCC employee, employed at the College on or before September 19, 2007.

Each Academy class will consist of 20-25 participants—diverse in nature—with proportional representation from the entire College:

• 4-5 from Student Success Services;
• 3-4 from Information Technology & Resources;
• 3-4 from Administrative Services;
• 8-9 from Educational Programs; and
• 1-2 from areas reporting directly to Dr. McGee.

What is the time commitment?

If selected, you will be required to actively participate in seven all-day leadership development sessions, from September 2008 through April 2009.

How do I apply for the 2008-2009 class?

Complete an application form and ask your supervisor to sign it and complete the Supervisor Statement of Support. The application deadline is 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
