Important Registration Information

Very important! To ensure you have all the information and paperwork to enroll in the Early Childhood Education Program of your choice, carefully review the information below and follow the steps listed to assist in successful completion of any program.

A.S. Degree
  1. See a college credit counselor to begin one of our A.S. degree programs:
    Child Development or Early Childhood Management.
  2. You must complete the admissions process prior to contacting a counselor.
  3. For information about the Early Childhood courses or any additional programs, please contact the Early Childhood Education Department.
CDA (On-Site Programs)
  1. Please review the CDA information.
  2. All CDA students must attend at least one CDA Admission Session and complete an application to enroll in the program (at the CDA Admission Session).

Online National CDA Program
  1. Please review the Online CDA information.
  2. All CDA students must attend at least one Orientation for the Online CDA Program and complete an application to enroll in the program (at the Orientation for the Online CDA).

Director's Credential

  2. SCC provides the course work for students; the credential is issued by DCF.

Educational and Employment Verification (CDA Waiver)
  1. Please review the information on the CDA Waiver.
  2. SCC provides the course work for students, the credential is issued by 4C of Orlando.

National CDA Renewal
  1. Please review the CDA Renewal information.
  2. SCC provides the course work for students; the renewal is issued by the National CDA Council.

State Mandated Training
  1. Please review the State Mandated Training information.
  2. SCC provides the course work for students; 4C of Orlando establishes local testing dates and site for the Competency Exam for State Mandated courses; certificates are provided to the student through the DCF website upon successful completion of the exam(s).
  3. Registration info for the Competency Exam will be provided to the student in class.
