General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program
Seminole Community College (SCC) and General Motors Corporation are pleased to offer the General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program (GM-ASEP). This unique program combines the technical training facility at SCC with regional General Motors dealers in a cooperative effort to produce highly qualified and trained technicians. This is not just another automotive training program, but is unique in the design and implementation of training. The success of the GM-ASEP program nationally is documented by the number of qualified technicians who graduated and are now successful in the workforce. Seminole Community College has won national recognition for the quality of its automotive programs. It was ranked second in the nation in 1996 for both affiliated and non-affiliated programs, FIRST in 1997 for the non-manufacturer affiliated, and FIRST in 1998 for the manufacturer-affiliated programs.
